IMPORTANT LAWS FOR FEMALES

Hello guys!!Here we are back with  some of the IMPORTANT LAWS FOR FEMALES,some of them may even be applied for males 

.(all these following laws has been discussed with the lawyer before getting them here)

  1. Females have legal right to refuse to go to the police station between 6 pm to 6 am.
  2. Only female officers are allowed to deal with accused female.
  3. Under Section 51 in The Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973, only female officers can search, arrest and escort female offenders under strict privacy and decency.
  4. A male officer can escort female to police station only in case of serious crime that too after taking a written permit from the magistrate
  5. If a woman is unable to go to the police station to lodge a complaint then she can lodge the same via an email or registered post. if so, then senior police officer  sends the email or registered post to the Station House Officer of the area of crime for proper verification  and validation of the document, so that an FIR can be lodged.
  6. Now Live-in relationship is legal as long as both the partners are ready to stay together. live-in relationships are considered to be 'equal to marriage' . Also, if any child born out of live-in relationships will have the right to inherit their parent's property.
  7. Three months jail for PDA!! (Public Display of Affection).so dear couples find a better place for romance.However PDA within its limits is allowed but any obscene activity is punishable by the law. As word obscene has not been defined, couples are often harassed by policemen Section 294 of Indian Penal Code says obscenity in public is a criminal offence, but didn't mention anything about kissing or hugging in public.(Section 294 of Indian Penal Code)
  8. The 1861 Police Act clearly describes that a police officers is always on his/her duty. If he/she witnesses any crime or if an incident is brought to their knowledge they can't ignore or excuse it.
  9. " no sex divorce " if a husband or her spouse refuses sex after  marriage, it can be concluded as 'mental cruelty' and is a viable reason for divorce. So guys choose your partners carefully
  10. According to Section 497 of the IPC, a woman cannot be accused for her involvement in any adulterous relationship. The section says that she can't even be charged for being an instigator of the adultery. Now this is something really biased.
  11. A couple cannot register a petition for divorce within a year of marriage. Only, if the High Court feels that the petitioner is experiencing severe problems then the court can grant  the couple to file for divorce.Section 14 of the Hindu Marriage Act 1955
  12.  The Preventive Detention in India expresses that no person who is arrested can be detained for more than 24-hours.
  13.  Section 23 of the Bill of Rights Act implies that  every person is entitled to know why he /she is being arrested or questioned and can also question the validity of the arrest if the warrant is unlawful.
  14. Any police officer who refuses to lodge a complaint will be suspended and might even face jail.
  15.  A married man who commits adultery with an unmarried woman or widow upon the latter's permission , can't be charged for the crime.Section 498 of Indian Adultery Penal Code.
  16.  All females are entitled to receive free legal support  in order to promote their well-being. A woman is often held  humiliated when she goes to the police station to file a complaint, therefore  she should always be accompanied by a lawyer. Article 38(1) and Article 21 of IPC.
  17. Article 39 (A) of Indian Penal Code grants equal pay to women at their work places.
  18.  Rape survivor cannot be forced to go to the police station to provide her/his statement due to the threat of her family being put in danger, and the police aren't  allowed to force her.
  19.  Both males and females to equal inheritance of their father's property.Hindu Succession (Amendment) Act, 2005
  20. No woman can be dismissed from her employment regardless of any valid reason. Maternity Benefit Act 1961. 
  21. Section 160 of the Criminal Procedure Code states that women can be questioned in the presence of women constables at their home itself.
  22. According to Indian Code of Criminal Procedure, a doctor has to attend a rape victim if she approaches herself for a medical examination
  23. In 2011, the Ministry of Women and Child Development ruled out against single man adopting a girl child in order to keep adoption clean and safer.
  24. According to Hindu Adoption and Maintenance Act of 1956, married couples can't adopt two children of same sex.


  25. The Hotel Association of India (HAI) says that there is no such rule that denies admission to an unmarried couple in a hotel in India.
  26. Eve Teasing is an offence, Sections 294 and 509 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) prohibit any individual or group of people pass any kind of offensive comment or execute any such gesture towards a girl of any age.
  27. Domestic Violence, Section 498A of the IPC. Any person can complain about any incident where a family member has offended him or her cruelly.
  28. Mines Act (1952) and Factories Act (1948) prohibits the employment of women between 7 P.M. to 6 A.M. in mines and factories and provides for their safety and welfare
